CSLSM Said Maatallah

Our vision

A message from the President

Our vision for an academy that places each child at the heart of its work

Dear parents, children and members of the Said Maatallah Academy family,

When we created this centre, our ambition was not simply to add more pitches to Marrakech. We wanted to build a place where every child could learn, develop and enjoy sport in an environment that is safe, structured and encouraging.

We believe football can give a child far more than technical skill or physical fitness. It teaches discipline, patience, teamwork, respect for rules, responsibility, humility in success and courage after disappointment. For that reason, we do not measure our success only by the matches we win. We also look at the confidence, conduct, independence and genuine love of sport that our children develop.

This belief led us to create the SMA 360° Development Model. It places the child at the centre of every decision and connects technical, physical, mental and educational development. We are establishing a common coaching methodology suited to different ages and levels. We follow each player individually and carry out regular assessments to measure progress and identify what the child needs next.

No educational project can succeed without capable coaches who continue to learn themselves. We therefore want to invest consistently in coach development, align our working methods and make full use of the pitches, physical preparation gym, audiovisual room and the centre's other facilities. Every session should become a meaningful opportunity to learn.

Families are essential partners, not simply spectators. We want clear and regular communication with parents because a child's progress becomes stronger when the family understands what is being taught, shares observations and supports the same values of respect, discipline and enjoyment.

Our ambition is for the Said Maatallah Academy to become a reference for youth development in Marrakech and Morocco, while creating opportunities for its players to learn, compete and exchange with schools and academies in Morocco and abroad. That growth will never come at the expense of our identity. We will remain close to families, rooted in Marrakech and faithful to the values represented by Said Ait Maatallah.

We want to develop an intelligent, creative and disciplined player who respects coaches, teammates, opponents and referees, who learns seriously and plays with joy. Some of our children may become professional players, while others will follow different paths in life. Our responsibility is to help every one of them leave the academy more confident, more mature and better able to work with others.

This is our commitment: to improve every day, to educate as carefully as we coach, and to provide a sporting experience worthy of the trust of our families and the name carried by our centre.
